My brain must be in one of those boxes, tucked away in between things I will wonder why I bothered packing and things I did not realize I can't live without (that will take me months to find.)
Harper is sharp as a tack, thankfully. It was too hot today to do anything other than shop, so she got her very first Elmo doll. She loves it so much she squeals, "Elmo-Oh!" every time she sees it. She is a very good mother to her doll, and has been supplying Elmo-Oh all the goldfish he can eat. Which is none, because he does not eat food, silly. A goldfish hangs out, lodged in his mouth, for a few minutes, then Harper eats it. Repeat. {Swoon} She is more and more fun every day.
One of our neighbors had her baby over the weekend, and very soon Harper's BFF will be a big sister. Sigh, it is getting pretty baby crazy in these parts. I do keep thinking about how much better this whole parenting thing is now that she is not an itty bitty baby. Babies are pretty unpredictable, they cry, they can't point to what they want, and they don't sleep so well, you know. Then, I saw
Nicole's baby on Making it Lovely, and all bets are off. How adorable!!! Babies are the bomb. Everything they do is celebrated, and they are so squishy and cute and cuddly. And you don't find them standing on the dining table when you leave the room for like 2 seconds (Little Miss!)
