Harper's Park

We spent the day at home, piddling, doing a little bit of this and that, but mostly nothing at all.  I try to schedule at least one day, preferably two, of nothing a week.  Nothing is just the thing sometimes, you know?

Like how nothing beats playing with your favorite cinder block on a pedestal.

Or just standing on an abandoned slab.  

Our yard is a vast strange collections of bits of nothing, along with a couple of steep cliffs and a babbling brook.  Not your typical playground, but fun none the less.

Amid all the relaxing I was never able to hold that girl down long enough to trim her bangs.  Poor thing, it is either a barrette or back to the baby salon.  She is not keen on barrettes, at all, and is less keen on getting her hair done.  Goodness, they don't make baby tranquilizers do they?  Like when the cats need their teeth cleaned?  Not that I would...  but her bangs are getting in her eyes.

We miss you guys! I got hit with a nasty cold but thank goodness am on the mend! We are going away next Friday (just Chris and I) but would love to see you and Harper before then!

I kind of wish I had Harper's sense of style. That girl can rock the spotted faux fur, heart dotted dress and ladybug boots like none other! Just adorable.
