No baby. Not even close. If I were a gambler (which I am), I would not be placing any bets for before Monday (which I did, and have lost already.) No worries. I have a nasty chest cold. From what I recall, newborns and illness are not such a good mix.
In other news, you would not know it if you were digging in our soft beautiful spongey mud under the warm spring sun today, but a crazy wind/rain storm hit Fairfield County over the weekend.
65% of our small town was without power, including us. Thankfully, our power came back on after only about 48 hours or so. Many more people are still in the dark.
The crazy pants part of all of this, for me, is that this is the first time my local tragedy has had no voice on national news. If you live in a city, say Chicago or Los Angeles or Houston, and 65% of the residents lose power for days, believe me CNN is there. If you live in a town of 20,000 people, not so much. Our buddy, Sherryl, has an eloquent blog post about it
here. Take that CNN!
Sorry to hear about your cold and your power loss and your still-being-pregnant. On a completely "lighter" note, where in the world did you get those adorable rain boots for Harper?

Awe, you are so sweet! We got them at Target :) They were just about sold out when we got them about 3 weeks ago, but they might have more, or online...

Do you think Harper will call her little sister "Harper" too? Or "Harper 2"?
Sorry about your electricity. Were you guys freezing to death? You know, if it ever gets bad, I have an extra bed. All three/four of you squeezed into the full-sized bed, you'll be plenty cozy, you won't even need the heat. And, it was 86 degrees here the other day. Yes, 86.
It is still winter, right? It feels like summer here, and it looks an awful lot like spring in your pix.
Sorry about your chest cold. I have it, too. I meant to send you positive brain waves, not nasty viruses. I hope you get well soon. But if you're not well before the baby is born, take a clue from Harper, and put some mud in the bottle, to build immunity.

"Harper 2" for sure ;)
The mud is no match for this cold; Harper has it, too.
The house got down to the 40's without power, which is the perfect temp for sleeping. We spent the days out and about, but the general population was getting stinkier and stinkier. (Most people, like us, did not have hot water for showering.) Now, we are having a fake spring. It is beyond lovely outside, in the high 60's. Everybody is a bit fresher.
Sorry you have the cold, too. 86? Can you go to the beach?
