I'm a Texan. I'm tall, and my spelling is unique. My name is Mary. I am new to the East Coast, and live in Fairfield County, Connecticut, with my husband, daughter, two cats and a dog. I got Skanky Spanky, the large cat, when I lived in San Francisco, Trixie is from Houston, and I found my husband and his dog in Los Angeles. Our baby girl, Harper, was born in Chicago on Leap Year. (I am done with moving.) I have an Etsy Bakery, Buttermilk Bake Shop, that specializes in simple delicious homemade treats.

Mary-
I'm so happy you're blogging now! I started Poopscape when I was pregnant with Eleanor as a sort of form letter to everyone, to keep in touch, because I had a feeling I was going to drop out of society for a while. Ha! Still going. I need to update more often though.
Anyway, I love reading your new mom stories! I'm chuckling and nodding to myself when I read them. Being a parent is a trip, no? Especially in the beginning when a good majority of your friends don't have kids. It's still kind of like that actually, but I have way more parent friends now. So weird. Your sweet daughter is so lucky to have you as a mom! Keep writing!

Hi Maya!
Thank you! I hope she will think it is cool someday, and not be too embarrassed.
How do I find the time? With the holiday season starting, I'm slacking off a bit. Generally, it is just fun to do after bedtime.
See you Ben soon!
